This tenure-track role blends large animal population medicine with veterinary education scholarship, delivering core DVM curriculum while building a national research program.

The incumbent will teach population medicine and career readiness, develop innovative teaching methods (VR, AI), mentor students and house officers, and collaborate across departments to

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent degree) required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with extramurally funded research programs.
• A record of collegial and productive interactions with faculty, staff and students.
• Interest and enthusiasm for training and mentorship, particularly with graduate students, house officers, and/or postdoctoral fellows.
• Comfort and experience working with highly interdisciplinary and collaborative faculty.
• Preferred: advanced training or teaching certification.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to population medicine and veterinary education teaching.
• Establish a nationally recognized research program in population medicine and education.
• Develop immersive teaching methods and AI-driven assessments.
• Mentor graduate students, house officers, and postdoctoral fellows.
• Collaborate across departments on population health initiatives.
