Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical terminology preferred.
• Minimum one year related experience in scheduling or front desk.
• Minimum one year customer service experience.
• Six months experience in a medical clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications among staff, patients and providers.
• Schedule referral appointments including specialists, surgeries and study appointments.
• Confirm appointments and arrange transportation and interpreters if needed.
• Verify patient records and ensure tests and records are sent to the specialist.
• Communicate updates to providers, staff and patient financial counselors.
• Follow up on post-referral correspondence and share results.
