VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER seeks a Population Health Analyst to manage data for value-based populations and generate reports on clinical, financial, and operational measures to guide better patient care and financial outcomes.

You will assist the Manager of Value Based Initiatives with data collection, quality assurance, and reporting across contracts and populations, with standard hours Monday–Friday and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Data Science, related field or relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of five years experience in health care settings, preferably in a clinic setting or a health plan.
  • Minimum 2 Years Experience Analyzing Healthcare Data.
  • Demonstrated ability to use benchmarking and community reporting methods, such as HEDIS.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with report writing in Epic and other reporting writing systems, such as Tableau.

Responsabilités

  • Manage Value Based reporting requirements, including development, maintenance, data quality assurance and timely submission.
  • Participate in Value Based initiatives and committees as needed.
  • Ensure receipt of expected external reports, review for actionable data and distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Work with IT to develop and maintain systems for secure data exchange.
  • Review and validate new data Dashboards sourced with internal and external data using established validation processes.
  • Utilize and maintain ownership of Value Based Tableau reports.
  • Review VMC data for accuracy for Washington's All Payor Claims Database public reporting website.
  • Explore new clinical and operational reporting tools and methods and make recommendations based on these findings.
  • Work with Manager of VB Initiatives, Nursing and Care Management leadership, the Population Health Director and others to create, monitor, analyze, trend and improve health outcomes.
  • Actively work to close data gaps as identified internally and by payors.
  • Maintain knowledge of NCQA, HEDIS and other quality and pay for performance metrics, and develop measurement systems to assess effectiveness of improvement strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical systems, including the Electronic Health Record.
  • Maintain knowledge of operational systems.
  • Attend educational programs as applicable to this position to maintain standard of expertise.
  • Utilize analytical tools such as Excel and Epic analytics on a daily basis.
  • Design processes and documentation for maintaining data accuracy and clearly document work for reference.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports with detailed analysis and make recommendations for continued review and interventions when appropriate.
  • Able to work closely with the Finance and Clinic Network Leadership teams, as well as other departments such as Information Technology and Outcomes Management.
  • Maintains Value Based Initiatives Sharepoint site.
