The Poplar Creek Public Library is searching for a friendly, bilingual English/Spanish candidate to assume the role of Popular Materials Bilingual Librarian/Programmer. This position focuses on engaging the Spanish speaking community through programming, collection development, and providing assistance with library resources. The Poplar Creek Public Library is seeking a friendly, customer-service oriented bilingual English/Spanish fluent candidate to serve as Popular Materials Bilingual Librarian/Programmer. This position includes assisting patrons with readers' advisory, research and assistance with library resources. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, providing programs of interest to the Spanish speaking community both inside and outside the library as well as Spanish language collection development. The candidate will work closely with other staff, including our Community Engagement Department, in a positive team environment.

Qualifications: Masters of Library and Information Science degree or MLS equivalent from an accredited library school required. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency in writing & speaking required.
Experience: Minimum of 2-years library experience desired. Experience with programming, collection development and readers' advisory preferred.

37.50 hours per week: Hours TBD but includes one evening shift and weekend rotation.
