Job summary

The Sunset Marquis is seeking a Pool Server to greet guests, serve food and beverages at the pool, upsell, and maintain cleanliness while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have a high-volume hospitality background, English proficiency, and the ability to work across shifts, including weekends and holidays. Comprehensive benefits are offered including health, dental, retirement plans, and staff perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 year related hospitality experience.
• Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is a plus.
• FORBES standards is a plus.
• High volume, fast-paced restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Aloha experience is a plus.
• Food Handlers card is required.
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is required.
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is required.
• Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic bartender skills- follow recipes for a limited variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Assist guests with selecting food and beverages by suggesting items, explaining the chefs specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
• Efficiently receive guest orders paying attention to special requests or needs (i.e. allergies) and input them into POS system. Communicate special requests to the kitchen to ensure correct outcome
• Retrieve guest orders from the kitchen and deliver to pool guests.
• Engage with guests to ensure they are satisfied with food and overall service.
• Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.
