Job summary

Life Time, Inc. in Mason, Ohio is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard who is safety minded and service oriented to monitor pools, assist Members and oversee water features both indoor and outdoor.

You will respond to emergencies, enforce rules, and help with aquatics events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification (or bridge to StarGuard when expiring), BLS CPR and First Aid, and the ability to swim 300

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first).
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members
