Job summary

Woodside Kc in Westwood, KS is seeking an Entry-level Pool Utility staff member for Woodside Racquet Club. You will help keep towels stocked, pool areas clean, and chairs arranged while supporting events and maintaining a welcoming club environment.

Responsibilities include constant towel pickup, trash collection, and reporting any issues. Flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, are required. Must be at least 15 and able to lift 75+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean towels at all stations and pool areas.
• Stock towel stations; collect soiled towels and send to laundry.
• Keep pool areas, umbrellas, towels and chairs in good order.
• Reset unoccupied chairs to the exact same arrangement.
• Ensure pool areas look photo-ready; pick up trash and keep water stations stocked.
• Sweep and empty trash; report maintenance or safety issues.
• Support special events; adhere to employee handbook and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned; no personal cell phone use during shift.

Job Details

Level: Entry; Job Location: Woodside Racquet Club Management - Westwood, KS 66205; Job Category: Facilities.

Under the general direction of the Pool Manager and the Director of Facilities, Pool Utility staff are responsible for promoting a relaxing and enjoyable Club experience for all members and guests by ensuring readily available clean towels are provided throughout the day. Pool Utility continually picks up wet towels and clean surrounding areas. Pool Utility must uphold and enforce all policies set forth by Woodside. Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all Lifeguards and Pool Desk Staff.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Continuously maintain clean towels at all approved stations, lounge chairs, and pool areas.
• Ensure towel stations are fully stocked and presentable.
• Collect soiled wet towels and deliver them to the laundry area for cleaning.
• Maintain all pool areas as prescribed by Woodside: umbrellas, towels, chairs, etc.
• Make sure all unoccupied chairs are uniform and reset the exact same way.
• Prepare and monitor all pool areas ensuring they are always "photo ready".
• Pick up trash around the pool area.
• Empty trash cans and keep water stations fully stocked.
• Sweep up trash as needed.
• Report any maintenance/emergency issues as they arise.
• May be asked to support special events within the club.
• Move throughout the shift with purpose; no personal cell phone usage during shift.
• Comply with the club’s employee handbook, departmental policies and procedures, and all applicable federal and state employment laws.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Education/Experience

Must be a minimum of 15 years of age and physically able to lift 75 pounds or more on a regular basis.

Special Requirements

• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Working Conditions

95% outdoors in hot temperatures; high volume of members/guests during nice weather; exposure to extreme heat.
