Job summary

Pinch A Penny in CyFair Town Center seeks a friendly Pool Store Associate to join our community-focused team. The role involves greeting customers, testing water balance, handling phones, and assisting with store tasks, with weekend shifts and 20–40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior retail or pool supply experience preferred, strong customer service skills, basic math for cash handling, and good organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet / assist customers upon entering store.
• Perform water balance testing, accurately, for customers.
• Answer phones.
• Carry customer purchases to the car.
• Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep displays & counter area clean.
• Report all stock / supply shortages.
• Perform in-store equipment repairs.
• Maintain store inventory.
• Stocker / Jugger responsibilities as needed.
• Any other duties, as assigned.

Pinch A Penny in CyFair Town Center is locally owned and operated. We’re a small family run business with the best selection of pool supplies and an obligation to the community to provide expert advice and service on everything our clients' need for their pools, spas, or patios.

We're looking for a Pool Store Associate who's highly motivated with or without prior pool industry experience .Weekend availability is a must with some mid week shifts, ranging from 20-40 hours per week. All training is done on the job. We look forward to adding someone to our growing team!

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Greet / Assist customers upon entering store.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Position requires constant walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to answer phones/perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
