Job Summary

We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate/Manager to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and be capable of resolving customer issues on the spot. Responsibilities include assisting customers, completing transactions on electronic cash register systems, and maintaining store appearance.

Pool Gurus Inc. (aka Pinch A Penny) is a small business in Katy, TX, specializing in pool care. We are a friendly, professional team committed to exceeding customer expectations and providing remarkable pool care to protect our clients’ investments.

Join Pinch A Penny, America’s Largest Swimming Pool Retail, Service, and Repair Franchise. Since 2018, we have served the Katy area between George Bush Park and Highway 99.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greeting customers and assisting them with shopping
• Following safety and loss prevention procedures
• Operating cash registers for sales and payments
• Handling refunds and receipts
• Stocking, inventory management, and store maintenance
• Driving sales through product promotions
• Developing product knowledge to assist customers
• Locating merchandise and assisting customers promptly and courteously
• Communicating with customers and team members
• Performing water analysis and chemical balancing
• Collaborating with the pool cleaning team
• Maintaining a clean and organized store
• Repairing pool cleaning equipment
• Opening and closing the store, including cash register operations
• Training new staff as needed

Qualifications

• AA Degree or higher
• Strong communication, reading, and writing skills
• Knowledge of sales techniques and customer service best practices
• Ability to work well in a team and handle register operations accurately
• Flexible schedule availability
