Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a friendly Pool Server to deliver attentive food and beverage service at the pool area. You will create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and propose menu items to guests in a resort-style environment.

The role requires strong communication, a service-minded approach, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume outdoor setting. Training and flexible schedules are provided to support guest satisfaction and team success.

Qualifications

• Prior food and beverage service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds and carry trays.

Responsibilities

• Greet pool guests and provide menus, towels, or basic assistance.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay to bar/kitchen.
• Deliver orders in a timely, polished manner.
• Maintain service areas, tables, cabanas, and walkways.
• Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties.
• Ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.

The Pool Server enhances the guest experience by providing friendly, attentive food and beverage service throughout the pool area. This role creates a relaxing atmosphere by anticipating guest needs, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring a seamless, welcoming poolside dining experience.

What You Will Do

• Greet pool guests warmly and provide menus, towels, or basic assistance as needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the bar or kitchen
• Deliver food, beverages, and amenities in a timely and polished manner
• Monitor assigned sections, anticipating guest needs and ensuring continuous service
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of pool menus, specials, and seasonal offerings
• Assist guests with recommendations, dietary needs, or special requests
• Process payments accurately for checks, room charges, and card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, cabanas, lounge chairs, and walkways
• Clear used items promptly and reset seating areas for the next guests
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and poolside food-handling guidelines
• Support pool service attendants and bar teams to ensure coordinated service
• Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
