Job summary

Blue Science is seeking a experienced Repair Mechanic to service pool equipment across Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, and installing pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems with strong customer service.

On-site work in the West Palm Beach area, with a focus on safe, efficient repairs. A high school diploma or GED and 4+ years of pool repair experience are preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of pool repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, chlorination & salt systems, filters, heaters, automation, electrical and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pool equipment to identify maintenance and repair needs.

• Perform repairs or replacements on faulty components (motors, valves, filters, lights).

As a Repair Mechanic with Blue Science, you will focus your attention on serving our clients. The main objective of this position is to service customers and get customers’ equipment repaired. Whether you are repairing equipment or speaking with a client directly, SERVICE to the client is our primary objective. There is no selling required in this position, just repairs!

This position will be located in Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, or Fort Lauderdale, FL areas.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of pool equipment to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems and plumbing.
• Perform necessary repairs or replacements on faulty components, such as motors, valves, filters, and pool lights etc.
• Install and configure pool equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer service requests and inquiries related to pool repairs.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs, documenting parts used, and labor performed.
• Always adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in pool repair techniques and equipment.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience as a repair mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of pool equipment, including pumps, Chlorination & Salt Systems , filters, heaters, automation systems, electrical and plumbing.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex pool equipment issues while on site.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple repair tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment when required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma/GED (preferred but not required)
• 4+ years of pool repair experience

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays
