POOL MONITOR

Reports To: Community Manager

Position Overview:

As a community with families and children, it will be up to you to ensure that the pool area is safe and secure and that the residents are following rules and regulations established by the community. You need to ensure that the pool and surrounding areas, including the pool bathrooms, are open and well-stocked. Should an emergency arise, you will be one of the valued members who may be called on to assist.

Essential Functions:

  1. Enforce all pool rules including maximum pool occupancy
  2. Open and close the pool area at designated times
  3. Clean the pool as directed by the Community Manager
  4. Ensure pool furniture is arranged neatly
  5. Ensure the pool bathroom is open, stocked, clean, and free of standing water
  6. Identify pool deficiencies, safety concerns, and/or needed supplies, and notify the Community Manager
  7. Check the pool phone weekly to ensure it works properly
  8. Verify everyone entering the pool has a pool pass and/or enter a visitor log as needed by the community
  9. Ensure an adult resident of the community, 18 years or older, always accompanies children under the age of 14
  10. Secure the pool at the designated closing time
  11. Respond to emergency calls as directed by management if applicable
  12. Effectively communicate with residents and management
  13. Notify management of any incident/accident immediately
  14. Additional duties as assigned by the manager and subject to change

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
  2. Required to regularly push, pull, lift, or carry 25 lbs.

Education and Experience:

  1. A valid in-state driver’s license is required
  2. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
