Job summary

South Suburban Parks & Recreation is seeking a Pool Manager for an on-site, part-time role. You will oversee daily pool operations, supervise aquatics staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility.

The role offers Medical Benefits Eligible status and requires flexibility for varied hours. Responsibilities include coordinating lessons, preparing daily reports, promoting events, performing basic pool maintenance, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Three (3) years of lifeguarding and pool maintenance experience.
• Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training at time of hire.
• Must successfully pass the District Water Tests.
• Job may include additional responsibilities to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the assigned pool.
• Provide general supervision to aquatics staff.
• Program and supervise swimming lessons.
• Complete daily reports.
• Promote and schedule special events and birthday parties.
• Perform basic pool maintenance; schedule tasks and mentor staff.
