City of Miami is seeking a lifeguard supervisor to enforce pool regulations, supervise part-time and temporary staff, and organize water-safety classes. The role requires effective communication and the ability to lead in-service trainings for aquatics staff.

The position involves rescuing patrons in distress, administering first aid and CPR, testing pool water, and coordinating repairs with the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience as a lifeguard.
• Valid AFO/CPO, Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Water Safety Instructor, and Lifeguard Instructor certifications.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and schedule the work of part-time and temporary lifeguards and staff.
• Instruct water safety, swim, and life-saving classes as needed.
• Administer first aid/CPR and advanced life support as required.
• Test pool water and adjust chemical balance; report repairs as needed.
• Assist with custodial tasks and ensure facility cleanliness.
• Record daily collections and report to the Parks Aquatic Coordinator.
