The City of Cincinnati seeks a Pool Manager for overseeing pool facilities, ensuring safety, and managing staff and operations. Ideal candidates must have required certifications from the American Red Cross and possess skills in customer service and effective supervision. This full-time position is entry-level, offering flexible working hours in a supportive environment.
Pool Manager
Responsible for the safety and supervision of a pool facility, staff, participants, supplies, and equipment. Duties include overseeing pool instructional and special event programs, customer service, memberships, revenue collection, post-season inventory, and equipment collections. Must supervise staff, pool areas, and all users of the pool facilities.
Qualifications include the ability to operate a pool filtration system, implement emergency action plans, and conduct staff emergency drills and training. Candidates must correctly complete necessary paperwork and work with minimal supervision.
Required certifications include current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED. Additional preferred certifications are Emergency Oxygen administration, Waterpark Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, and Pool or Aquatic Facility Operator certification.
Availability to work flexible hours, pass annual water skills tests, and attend various training sessions is required. Candidates must be 18 years or older and wear Department of Recreation staff swimwear during work.
