Job summary

Cal-AM Properties Inc. is hiring a Pool Maintenance Technician to maintain and enhance the value of pools and spas across our properties. The role requires early starts, six days per week, with one day off to be determined, and occasional weekend support to meet business needs.

Compensation is $18.00 per hour. Duties include pool/water testing, cleaning, chemical balancing, equipment inspection, and on-call emergency response to ensure guest and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Inspect pool at start of shift per Daily Pool Inspection Report
• Use Daily Pool/Spa Chemistry Log Sheet / Color Q or Taylor test kits
• Document all pool chemical levels on Daily Report Sheet
• Pool water balance and cleanliness checks
• Vacuum pools and spas daily
• Performs on-call emergency service, as required
• Inspect sidewalks around pools for safety and cleanliness
• No smoking in pool area

Responsibilities

• Inspect pool at the start of shift per Daily Pool Inspection Report
• Use Daily Pool/Spa Chemistry Log Sheet / Color Q or Taylor test kits
• Report safety issues with equipment to supervisor before start
• Clean the scum line and pool walls
• Backwash filters and perform water exchange
• Maintain pool equipment and area after tasks
• Check gates and emergency equipment locations
• Ensure signage is visible and legible
• Record chemical readings on Daily Report Sheet
• Keep pool decks clean and organized
• Respond to on-call emergencies as needed
• Scrub pool and spa walls/stairs at least 3x per week
• Regularly scrub/power wash pool area and breezeway
• Vacuum pools and spas daily

POOL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

The Pool Maintenance Technician role performs various physical and monitoring duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the pools and spas. Our standard schedule is Monday through Friday, but occasional weekend work may be required to support property needs or respond to emergencies. Please note that schedules may change from time to time, with or without advance notice, based on business requirements.

Compensation: $18.00 Hourly. Schedule: Six days per week, with one day off to be determined. Hours may begin as early as 2:00 a.m. to ensure all pools are cleaned, maintained, and ready for guests and residents.

General Accountabilities

• Inspect pool at the start of shift per Daily Pool Inspection Report
• Use Daily Pool/Spa Chemistry Log Sheet / Color Q or Taylor test kits
• Report any safety issues with equipment to supervisor prior to start
• Clean the scum line where the water meets the pool wall
• Back wash Filters as required to clean filter and perform water exchange in pool
• Clean all equipment at the end of the task and store
• Check all entry / exit gates for proper operation, must close and latch every time when released
• Check all emergency equipment for proper location within pool area
• Check that all signage is in place and legible
• Document all pool chemical levels on Daily Report Sheet Complete chemical readings daily
• Pool water should glisten and sparkle with the sun shine and waves, good sign that the pool chemistry is in balance
• Clean, wipe down, align and straighten all tables, chairs, and loungers
• Check the floor for excess water and mop if necessary. Be sure to use \\"Slippery when Wet\\" signs during and after mopping
• Brush/scrub pool and spa walls/stairs must at least 3x per week
• Pool deck, lounge chairs and breezeway must be scrubbed/power washed daily
• Vacuum pools and spas daily
• Performs on-call emergency service, as required
• Inspect all sidewalks in and around Clubhouses & pools, remove crack weeds and spray
• Make sure no smoking is allowed in the pool area
