Shift: 1st and 2nd
Schedule: Full time, weekends and holidays required
Valid U.S. Driver's License required

Core Work Activities
- Ensuring continuous, reliable pool and spa facility operations and reduce costly breakdowns through preventive maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with life-safety requirements
- Support and supervise engineering team members.
- Oversee day to day pool operations and long term asset protection.
- Perform and document daily water testing
- Maintain proper sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid levels.
- Ensure pools and spas meet state and local health department requirements.
- Adjust chemicals as necessary to maintain safe operating conditions
- Maintain accurate chemical logs and records.
- Investigate and correct water quality issues immediately.
- Monitor and maintain: Pumps, Filters, Heaters, Chemical feed systems, Controllers and automation systems
- Ensure proper circulation and filtration rates.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections.
- Coordinate repairs with vendors and contractors.
- Respond to emergency equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with: California Pool Code, Health Department regulations, OSHA requirements, Company safety standards
- Maintain required pool signage.
- Verify all safety equipment is present and functional.
- Close pools when conditions present a health or safety risk when necessary
- Prepare for inspections and correct
- Maintain: Chemical logs, Inspection reports, Closure reports, Maintenance records, Incident reports, SDS documentation
- Ensure documentation is always audit ready.
- Train associates on: Water testing procedures, Chemical handling, PPE requirements, Emergency response, Equipment operation
- Verify employees follow established procedures consistently.
- Supervisor’s role will extend beyond technical pool operations into supervision, coaching, and accountability. These responsibilities will include: 1. Leadership and Team Direction
- Establish daily work priorities.
- Assign routes and pool/spa inspections.
- Conduct shift briefings.
- Communicate safety concerns and operational updates.
- Promote a culture of accountability and professionalism. 2. Scheduling and Coverage
- Create work schedules.
- Ensure adequate coverage for: o Pool inspections o Chemical testing o Emergency response o Preventive maintenance
- Coordinate vacation and call-off coverage.
- 3. Performance Management
- Monitor individual productivity and quality.
- Provide coaching and corrective feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Recognize strong performance.
- Develop improvement plans where necessary.
- 4. Safety Oversight
- Enforce PPE requirements.
- Conduct safety meetings.
- Investigate incidents and near misses.
- Verify proper chemical storage and handling.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout and confined space procedures where applicable.
- 5. Training and Certification Management
- Verify associates are properly trained.
- Crosstrain team members for operational continuity.
- Maintain training records.
- Develop succession plans for future lead operators or supervisors.
- 6. Quality Assurance
- Audit testing logs for accuracy.
- Conduct field inspections of completed work.
- Verify pools and spas meet company standards.
- Ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
- 7. Inventory Control
- Monitor chemical usage.
- Control inventory levels.
- Track equipment and tool condition.
- Reduce waste and prevent shortages.
- 8. Guest Experience and Service Recovery
- Respond to guest concerns regarding pools and spas.
- Coordinate pool closures and reopenings professionally.
- Ensure water features remain operational and visually appealing.
- Support resort operations by minimizing guest disruption.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
