Job description

The Pool Maintenance Assistant Manager will ensure that technicians, guests and members receive reliable, professional, and high-quality support. This position combines fieldwork with supervisory responsibilities while overseeing the daily operations. The candidate must be comfortable working independently using sound judgment to identify root causes and knowing when to elevate more complex repairs to their leaders. With a service-driven mindset, technical competence, and commitment to excellence, you will ensure that all pools on the schedule are serviced to company standards while providing guidance and support to the technician team.

While providing hands‑on leadership to a dedicated team of technicians, you will ensure that daily operations are executed with precision, discretion, and consistency. Working side by side with your team, you regularly perform routine pool cleaning, conduct water chemistry testing and balancing, troubleshoot minor equipment issues and maintain accurate service records. You will set clear priorities, manage scheduling, and align resources seamlessly, remaining closely engaged to coach and mentor the team while upholding uncompromising standards of quality and craftsmanship. Through anticipatory oversight, proactive coordination, and trusted collaboration with operational partners, this role resolves needs before they surface and safeguards the integrity of the environment. Every detail is managed with intention, resulting in an atmosphere of effortless comfort, quiet reliability, and an elevated guest experience defined by confidence, continuity, and exceptional care. You will help manage routes, ensure proper equipment care, and assist with scheduling and coverage during high‑demand periods.

The role also emphasizes technician development through ride‑along evaluations, real‑time coaching, and onboarding and training of new hires. Strong quality control is essential, as the Assistant Manager monitors completed work, helps resolve customer concerns professionally, identifies recurring issues, and recommends service improvements. Additionally, this role promotes safety and compliance by enforcing chemical‑handling standards, PPE use, and equipment inspections.

You are a gracious ambassador for Sea Island with every interaction. You support all team members in providing friendly, attentive, and timely Five Star guest service. Through collaboration with your colleagues, you create an exceptional experience for all our guests, members, and team members in your commitment to enriching lives. You live and share your passion for genuine hospitality in your commitment to enriching lives. You will learn how to consistently uphold and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in aiding when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You are willing and can timely execute other duties as delegated by leadership.
