Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to assist the maintenance team in keeping client pools and facilities clean and chemically balanced. The trainee will work under the Pool Maintenance Specialist and receive hands-on training in pool cleaning, chemical handling, and routine testing.

The role requires physical capability, basic math for chemical dosing, and good customer service skills to interact with clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Adequate sight and hearing to interpret water analysis and equipment readings.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH, chlorine, bacteria, algae, or contaminants.
• Receives training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct chemistry and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
