Job summary

Smart Pool Services LLC is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to support cleaning and maintaining client pools and related facilities. You will assist senior staff with chemical treatments, water testing, and daily recordkeeping while learning proper pool chemistry and safety practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, physical work, and reliable customer service to ensure high-quality pool care for clients and facilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment related to swimming pools.
• Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.
• Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
• Adequate sight and hearing to interpret water analysis and readings.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
• Receives training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
