Job summary

SPS PoolCare in Arcadia, FL seeks a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to support client pool upkeep and facility maintenance. You will assist senior staff with cleaning, chemical treatments, and water testing, gaining hands-on experience.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds and trainable with good customer service is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of related pool experience preferred.
Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and performing manual tasks.
Able to read water test results and prepare basic reports.

Responsibilities

Assist in cleaning and maintaining pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and applying chemicals.
Periodically perform deep cleaning: brush walls, floors, and surfaces.
Test pool water regularly for pH, chlorine, bacteria, and contaminants.
Receive training to ensure proper color, chemistry, and clarity of water.
Calculate and add chemical treatments to balance pH and remove contaminants.
Inspect pool and equipment for issues and safety concerns.
Maintain daily logs of chemical usage, water quality, and repairs.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
