Job summary

SPS PoolCare in Texas is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to assist with cleaning and maintaining pools at client sites and facilities. You will learn chemical treatments, test water, and help ensure clear, balanced water.

The role combines hands-on pool care with safety and recordkeeping. A high school diploma and one year of related experience are required. On-the-job training is provided and physical work is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to interpret water analysis and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming and chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools for deep cleaning, brushing walls and surfaces.
• Tests pool water for pH, chlorine and contaminants and records results.
• Receives training to ensure correct color, chemistry and clarity of water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to balance pH and eliminate contaminants.
• Inspects pool and equipment and maintains daily logs of chemical usage and water quality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
