Unique Landscapes & Custom Pools in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Pool & Landscape Staff Designer to work directly with the company owner on custom residential pool, landscape and outdoor-living projects, delivering creative designs and strong client relationships.

This full-time, Monday–Friday position offers CAD support, on-site measurements, 3D design using Pool Studio, competitive starting salary, and opportunities for commission or performance bonuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the owner on residential and builder-generated opportunities.

• Prepare project estimates and proposals using Unique’s pricing systems.
• Communicate design concepts, options and pricing clearly with clients.
• Assist with contracts and project processing when a client moves forward.
• Maintain accurate lead and client information within our CRM.
• Utilize Pool Studio, DocuSign, Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
• Coordinate with internal CAD, estimating and construction teams as needed.

For more than 25 years, Unique has been recognized as one of the Valley’s leading pool and landscape design-build companies. We design and build virtually everything outside—from custom pools and spas to complete landscapes, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, structures, lighting, fire and water features.

This is a full-time salaried position with a Monday–Friday schedule and no regular weekend work. The position is based out of our Chandler headquarters and showroom, with flexibility for some work from home.

Starting salary is approximately $60,000 per year, plus opportunities for additional commission or performance-based bonuses. Mileage for company-related travel is reimbursed.

The Role

This is primarily a design and client-relationship position, not a traditional high-pressure sales role.

You’ll work directly with the owner on company and builder-generated leads—meeting with homeowners, measuring properties, developing creative outdoor-living concepts in Pool Studio, preparing presentations and helping move projects from initial ideas through contract.

Once a project is sold, our in-house CAD and construction-planning teams handle the detailed construction documents and production process, allowing you to remain focused primarily on design, client communication and new opportunities.

For the right person, this position offers significant hands-on experience and the opportunity to grow into a senior or lead design role within Unique.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the owner on residential and builder-generated opportunities
• Meet with clients and assist in developing their pool, landscape and outdoor-living vision

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Pool Studio or comparable 3D pool/landscape design software
• Strong residential pool, landscape or outdoor-living design ability
• Ability to translate a homeowner’s ideas and inspiration into compelling visual designs
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to accurately measure and evaluate residential project sites
• Understanding of estimating, construction costs and project proposals
• Organized, dependable and capable of managing multiple designs and client opportunities
• Comfortable working directly with clients as well as collaboratively with the company owner and internal teams
• Experience with CRM systems, DocuSign, Microsoft Outlook and Teams preferred
• Reliable transportation for local site visits and client meetings
