About the Role:

The Pool/Lake Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall positive experience of guests at aquatic facilities such as pools and lakes. This position involves vigilant monitoring of swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies, thereby maintaining a secure environment. The attendant is responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, including water quality checks and upkeep of surrounding areas, to promote health and hygiene standards. Additionally, the role requires providing excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, enforcing facility rules, and facilitating a welcoming atmosphere. Ultimately, the Pool/Lake Attendant contributes to the smooth operation of the aquatic facility, supporting both safety protocols and guest satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training from a recognized organization.
  • Ability to swim proficiently and perform water rescues.
  • Strong observational skills and the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a lifeguard or aquatic facility attendant.
  • Certification in advanced lifesaving or emergency response techniques.
  • Knowledge of local and state health and safety regulations related to aquatic facilities.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality roles.
  • Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment and perform minor repairs.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor swimming areas continuously to ensure the safety of all guests and respond immediately to any emergencies or unsafe behaviors.
  • Perform routine water quality testing and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool or lake area, including deck, restrooms, and equipment storage, to provide a hygienic environment.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently and courteously to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
  • Provide assistance and information to guests regarding facility amenities, safety guidelines, and swimming policies.
