University of Kansas Edwards Campus HOPE Program invites qualified scholars and professionals to apply for part-time Instructor positions, delivering online instruction (synchronous and asynchronous). Instructors teach online and report to the Program Director for HOPE; positions are placed in single term appointments with renewal based on unit needs and performance.
Position Overview
The Human and Organization Performance Effectiveness (HOPE) program in the School of Professional Studies at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus invites qualified scholars and professionals to submit applications that will be reviewed by program faculty and placed in a pool for consideration for part time Instructor positions. Candidates should have expertise in continuous improvement, instructional design, human motivation, human performance, human resource recruiting, organizational communication, organizational development, organizational strategy, performance management, organizational systems, process improvement, or resource allocation. An instructor teaches online (synchronous and asynchronous) and must possess an advanced degree. Instructors report to the Program Director for HOPE.
The Master of Science in Human and Organization Performance Effectiveness (HOPE) is designed to prepare leaders to work across departments, functions, and roles to align individual performance with organizational goals. The HOPE program equips leaders with the essential skills to drive alignment, inspire teams, and achieve organizational success.

This position is subject to acollective bargaining agreementbetween the University of Kansas and United Academics, United Academics of KU, AAUP, or AFT. UAKU is the exclusive representative. Instructors are instructional members of the faculty and are not eligible for tenure or promotion in rank. Primary role is instruction with no obligations to perform research or service. Instructors are placed in single term appointments, with renewal based upon unit needs and funding as well as performance that meets expectations, not to exceed two continuous semesters.
Due to complex state employment laws, the University of Kansas may be unable to hire fully remote workers for this position outside of Kansas. Specifically, we cannot currently offer employment to candidates residing in the following states: California, Delaware, Idaho and Minnesota.
