Job summary

The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a Pool Grounds Attendant to maintain guest experiences and the safety, cleanliness, and appeal of geothermal pool areas and surrounding grounds.

You will monitor pool temperatures, clean pool decks and furniture, and ensure walkways and entrances are safe. This role supports events and collaborates with pool engineering, providing excellent service in Pagosa Springs, CO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a guest facing customer service position.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
• Experience working in a resort, hotel, or pool setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of guest service by assisting guests with inquiries or needs.
• Monitor and adjust temperatures in geothermal pools and features.
• Attend to guests needs and enhance experiences through positive interactions while soaking.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, seating areas, and surrounding grounds by sweeping, picking up towels and removing trash.
• Clean and organize poolside furniture, umbrellas, and other amenities to keep guest areas tidy.
• Ensure trash and recycling bins are emptied frequently and maintained to resort standards.
• Perform routine inspections of pool grounds for hazards or areas needing attention.
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of walkways, railings, and entrances; address slip hazards or obstructions.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining poolside events, including chairs, tables, and outdoor equipment.
• Collaborate with pool engineering to resolve pool grounds issues promptly.
• Report maintenance needs for poolside infrastructure to the appropriate teams.
• Educate guests on water mineral content and how we control pool temperatures.
• Educate guests about wellness classes and spa treatment offerings.
• Participate in seasonal or special projects, such as decor installations in pool areas.
