Job summary

57 Ocean Condominium Association seeks a Pool and Beach Attendant to welcome residents and assist with lounge areas, umbrellas and cabanas. The role involves setting up pool areas, stocking water and beverages, folding towels, and ensuring equipment is in good order.

The candidate should have prior relevant experience and preferably luxury property or hotel exposure, a positive can-do attitude, and strong teamwork and guest communication skills in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a related position.
• Experience at a luxury property or hotel is strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to work in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment.
• Must convey a positive and can-do attitude while collaborating with teammates and guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and greeting residents; assist with lounge covers, towers and umbrellas.
• Maintain sign-in sheet.
• Set up umbrellas and the cabanas.
• Place water, beverages and skin care products on tables.
• Fold towels daily for residents.
• Assist residents with lounge chairs, umbrellas and pool equipment.
• Ensure residents follow Association Rules and Regulations.
• Report malfunctions to the Supervisor immediately.
• Remove dirty towels and maintain pool furniture and tables.
• Keep area clean; manage trash and debris; daily pool area checklist.
• Wearing PPE safety gear when handling chemicals and related products.
• Follow all safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.

Duties and Essential Functions

• Welcoming and Greeting residents. Assisting them with lounge covers, towers and umbrellas etc.;
• Maintain sign-in sheet;
• Set up umbrellas and the cabanas;
• Makes sure water is placed on the table, as well as the beverage container and skin care products
• Fold towels daily to be offered to the residents.
• Assist residents with setting up lounge chairs, umbrellas, and other pool area equipment.
• Ensure residents are complying with Association Rules and Regulations;
• Report any malfunction immediately to Supervisor;
• Remove dirty towels.
• Maintain and organize the pool furniture, floor candles and tables;
• Ensures the area clean and trash and debris
• Complete daily check list including cleaning standards of the pool area.
• Wearing PPE safety equipment (glasses, breathing masks, gloves), when working with chemicals and other related products or tools
• Observe all State, Federal and Company safety standards/precautions while performing tasks to maintain a safe work environment

Work Environment

The position will be mostly outdoors, near a pool. Moderate noise level.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This position will require long periods of standing and walking, as well as working outdoors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Days and hours will be determined by the property. The schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.

Required Education and Experience

• Prior experience in a related position.
• Experience at a luxury property or hotel is strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent;
• The ability to work in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment.
• Must convey a positive and “can-do” attitude at all times, including during highly stressful situations.
• Must be able to work well in a collaborative environment with various team members in other departments.
• Must be able communicate effectively with other team members and guests.
