Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a seasonal Pool Bartender to join our outstanding food and beverage team! This vital role will work closely with Food & Beverage Leaders to successfully execute all operations relating to Pool Bartender services, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will maintain the highest standards possible for guests by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional food & beverage service throughout the outdoor pool area. This position is responsible for providing efficient, high levels of customer service at all times and maintaining a clean, professional, top-quality pool bar.

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $11.79/hour plus gratuities. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Seasonal Associates may be eligible for select benefits based on hours worked.

Responsibilities

1. Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to inquiries or requests.
2. Have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
3. Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar area.
4. Properly provide silverware and condiments prior to food being presented at the bar area.
5. Clean and reset the bar area as guests depart or after drink preparation.
6. Proper bar setup and breakdown.
7. Follow triple sink procedures.
8. Communicate professionally with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff at all times.
9. Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness. Work well with diverse Front of House and Back of House staff.
10. Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements, including carding and monitoring consumption.
11. Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and promptly record all transactions in the Micros system. Maintain guest tabs and process payments promptly.
12. Monitor pars levels.
13. Have experience in selling and upselling.
14. Have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
15. Work in a fast-paced team environment while offering high levels of service to all guests.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 1-2 years bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
2. Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Familiarity with a service bar atmosphere combined with bar skills.
5. Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.
6. Unexpired TIPs and Food Handler certifications prior to starting.
7. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
8. Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
9. Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 50 lbs without assistance.
10. Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
11. Comfortable working outdoors exposed to the elements.
12. Must be 21 years of age or older.
