Job summary

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate seeks a Food Runner / Buffet Attendant to maintain service standards for breakfast and dining areas. You will ensure timely food delivery, proper table assignments, and adherence to menu knowledge while supporting the kitchen and service staff.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, setting up breakfast buffets, and maintaining clean, well-presented dining areas. A minimum of 1 year in a related role and knowledge of sanitation are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety practices.
• Prepares daily requisition for supplies and food items for production.
• Works cohesively with hotel staff as part of a team.
• 1-year minimum work-related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Know service times and menu for accurate flow of service.
• Know floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Verify orders on tickets and ensure accuracy for delivery.
• Deliver food to correct tables per ticket and plan.
• Ask guests for additional service needs and inform staff.
• Assist with expo line setup and maintenance of breakfast buffet.
• Coordinate with supervisor on delivery issues.
• Set up and breakdown breakfast buffets; restock items.
• Minimize breakage and attend meetings and training.

Overview

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Food Runner / Buffet Attendant services.

Responsabilities

• Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu.
• Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Responsible for verifying complete order on ticket to food on cold line and hot line.
• Deliver food to correct tables according to ticket, floor plan, and seat numbers.
• Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager.
• Responsible for set-up of expo line with items specified inside work.
• Must consult with supervisor on any food delivery difficulty.
• Complete all side duties as assigned.
• Must minimize breakage.
• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
• Set up and breakdown of breakfast buffet according to time allotted.
• Maintenance and replenishment of breakfast buffet items. Ensure items are always full, clean, and presentable.
• Securing all breakfast vehicles such as platters, butter dishes, bread knives as directed by manager or posted inside work.
• Placing and receiving warehouse order daily and ensuring proper par levels of product
• Ensuring all products is within date and using the FIFO method of storage

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination needed to use all kitchen equipment.
• Requires a working knowledge of sanitation standards.
• Prepares daily requisition for supplies and food items for production
• Work cohesively with entire hotel staff as part of a team.
• Support procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
• Maintain all coolers and freezers, prep area and equipment up to State of Florida Health Department codes at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• 1-year minimum work-related experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift to 70 pounds
• Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours

Working Environment

• Interior of hotel, exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions, in the restaurant and kitchen. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
