The Bartender is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the social venues of the hotel. The bartender sets-up, services, and breaks-down the bar area ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service.
Job Description
- Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Take orders, prepare drinks according to recipes, and serve all food and beverage requests in the bar.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
- Prepare the bar for service by ensuring supplies, garnishes, and utensils are properly set up in accordance with standards.
- Inventory unused liquor and beverages; ensure all liquor is properly secured before, during, and after shifts.
- Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies. Ensure accurate entry of drink orders into the POS system.
- Clean and reset the bartop and tables immediately after guests depart.
- Complete all closing duties and reports as assigned.
- Secure all liquors, beers, wines, and storage areas.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain uniform and grooming standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Majority of work takes place indoors.
- Must tolerate extreme temperatures (e.g., kitchens, freezers).

Expected Hours of Work
- Flexible to work variable days, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience as a bartender, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Experience with computerized cash registers preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and colleagues.
- Ability to stand and exert mobility throughout shifts.
- Food handlers and TIPS certificates required.
- Previous front-facing guest service experience required.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
