Job summary

KW Property Management & Consulting is seeking a Pool Attendant to maintain a safe, clean aquatic area for residents and guests at our luxury property in New York. Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet residents and their guests, opening doors as needed.
• Set up umbrellas, lounge chairs, side tables, and pool equipment; assist residents with setup.
• Confirm pool users are registered residents or guests.
• Ensure water dispensers and towels are available and monitored for refills.
• Fold towels daily for residents.
• Clean pool area with proper equipment between vendor services.
• Enforce Association Rules and Regulations.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment to Supervisor.
• Remove dirty towels and trash.
• Ensure gym towels are stocked and area remains clean.
• Maintain pool furniture and tidy lounge areas.

Job description

Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean aquatic recreational area for guests or residents.

Duties and Essential Functions

• Welcome and greet residents and their guests. Open entry and exit doors to and from the amenities as needed.
• Set up umbrellas, lounge chairs, side tables, and other pool equipment as needed. Assist residents with the same.
• Confirm that pool users are registered residents or guests.
• Ensure water dispensers and towels are readily available and monitored for refills throughout the shift.
• Fold towels daily to be offered to the residents.
• Clean pool area with proper equipment in between pool vendor services.
• Ensure residents are complying with Association Rules and Regulations.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor.
• Remove dirty towels and trash.
• Ensure that the gym has towels, and that it remains clean.
• Walk the barbecue and lounge chair area to maintain tidiness.
• Maintain and organize the pool furniture.

Work Environment
The position will be mostly outdoors, near a pool. Moderate noise level.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This position will require long periods of standing and walking, as well as working outdoors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Days and hours will be determined by the property. The schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.

Required Education and Experience

• Prior experience in a related position.
• Experience at a luxury property or hotel is strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• The ability to work in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment.
• Must convey a positive and “can-do” attitude at all times, including during highly stressful situations.
• Must be able to work well in a collaborative environment with various team members in other departments.
• Must be able communicate effectively with other team members and guests.
