Overview

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining all pool stations and providing exceptional customer service to guests.

Responsibilities
  1. Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
  2. Maintain cleanliness of the pool areas, furniture, and service areas in an organized manner.
  3. Replenish towels and retail amenities, and stock as necessary during the shift.
  4. Assist in opening and closing side-work as assigned.
  5. Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of pool and lounge areas.
  6. Assist with retail outlets as needed.
  7. Help guests with service requests when necessary.
  8. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  2. At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
  3. Flexible schedule; ability to work long hours sometimes required.
  4. Physical ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  5. Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests.
  7. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  8. Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  9. Attend all required hotel meetings and training sessions.
  10. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with hotel standards.
  11. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
  12. Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  13. Identify and help implement solutions to improve productivity and resolve problems.
  14. Understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives.
  15. Cross-train in other hotel-related areas as needed.
  16. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  17. Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.
  18. Perform other duties as requested by management.
  19. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
