Overview

Responsible for opening and closing of the Indoor & Outdoor pool areas. Maintains the exercise room, and swimming pools to ensure they are in a clean and orderly condition at all times. Observes and guards the pool areas to ensure guests are following all rules and regulations.

Essential Functions:

1. Monitors activities in the pool area to ensure that guests are following all rules and regulations. Ensures all people in the pool area are hotel guests.
2. Logs pool readings per Health Department regulations. Adjusts pH and chlorine levels as needed.
3. Performs daily maintenance of pools such as vacuuming, cleaning strainers and backwashing, and sweeping and hosing down to keep pools free of algae.
4. Cleans and wipes down furniture in the pool area daily.
5. Brings clean towels to the pool area at the beginning of the shift, and takes used towels that are left to the laundry room at the end of the shift.
6. Ensures that all required life safety equipment (e.g., water ring, rope, backboard, hook, blanket, first aid kit) is available and in good condition.
7. Cleans all glass in the pool area, and maintains the exercise and pump room.
8. Able to carry and lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
9. Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and life safety procedures, and follows all key control procedures.
10. Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
11. Wears proper uniform and nametag at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines.
12. Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.
