WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone is expanding its fiber footprint, and we’re seeking an Engineer II, PON to drive FTTH projects from design through deployment, delivering reliable connections to communities we serve.

In this role you’ll be the technical specialist for an OLT platform, partner with Field Operations, NOC, and Customer Care, and help establish standards that keep our network scalable and resilient.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of fiber access/PON engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with an OLT platform (Calix, Nokia, Adtran/DZS).
• Understanding of XGS-PON and fiber access architecture.
• Familiarity with Linux.
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from design to deployment.
• ,
• Own configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices for your assigned OLT platform.
• Develop bills of materials (BOMs), coordinate with vendors, and ensure network turn-ups meet quality standards.
• Solve complex network challenges, partnering with Field Operations, NOC, and Customer Care.
• Create and maintain configurations, procedures, and vendor-specific runbooks.
• Guide junior engineers as they build troubleshooting and project execution skills.
• Independently manage assigned work and contribute to larger initiatives across teams.
