Job summary

AssetGuard Products, Inc. seeks an experienced Industrial Estimator to prepare accurate bids for spray-applied polyurea and protective coatings projects.

You will own the estimating process from bid review to site assessment, with travel to project sites to take measurements and document conditions. Responsibilities include area-based takeoffs, material/labor cost development, supplier/subcontractor pricing, and QA/QC budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years estimating in industrial, construction, or coatings work; 3+ years in polyurea or spray-applied coatings.
• Hands-on background as an applicator, foreman, or project manager.
• Experience with water/wastewater or irrigation infrastructure projects.
• Certifications such as AMPP Coating Inspector, ASPE, CPE AACE, CEP, CCT OSHA.
• Familiarity with drone or laser measurements for site documentation.
• Proficiency with Excel and digital takeoff/estimate software; AutoCAD experience.
• Willingness to travel 10-25%; valid driver's license.
• OSHA 10/30, confined space, fall protection training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Review bid packages, drawings, specs, and scopes to determine requirements and risks.
• Travel to project sites to take measurements and assess conditions.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and convert to material requirements.
• Estimate surface preparation costs and factor material loss.
• Develop labor, equipment, and crew costs using production rates.
• Obtain and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Account for mobilization, scaffolding, and weather/window constraints.
• Prepare bid proposals, scope, exclusions, and value-engineering options.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-award handoffs.
• Track costs against estimates and refine cost databases.
