Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Estimator III – Coatings to join a growing construction team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, review drawings, specifications, and contract documents, and perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam.

You will identify project risks, solicit vendor pricing, develop bid packages, and coordinate handoffs to operations after award, while mentoring junior estimators and driving process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in construction, heavy civil, industrial, or related projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, logistics, risk evaluation, and project costing.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop complete project estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam.
• Identify project risks, conflicts, and clarifications through RFIs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, bid packages, and proposals.
• Coordinate successful project handoffs to operations after award.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating processes and efficiency.
• Mentor and assist junior estimating team members as needed.
