Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
• Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained prior to hire date.
• BRPT or BRPT-equivalent Polysomnographic Technologist credentials prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnographic studies by applying and monitoring EEG, EOG, and EMG electrodes according to established protocols and AASM standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot polysomnographic equipment to ensure data quality throughout sleep studies.
• Monitor patients during overnight studies, observing vital signs, sleep stages, and any abnormal events.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Prepare study rooms and equipment prior to patient arrival, adhering to infection control procedures.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and gather medical history.
• Analyze preliminary polysomnographic data for quality assurance and identify technical issues.
• Collaborate with sleep medicine physicians and other staff to support patient care.
