Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Novi in Novi, MI is seeking a Sleep Technologist for part-time night shifts in Sleep Medicine. You will perform diagnostic sleep studies, prepare patients and equipment, monitor testing, and interpret results to support patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma equivalency or higher, BLS certification, and BRPT credentials. Part-time schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights from 8:30pm to 6:30am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the BRPT obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credentialed from the BRPT obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
• Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
• Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report result of sleep studies.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.
