Job summary

The MaineHealth sleep medicine team in Kennebunk, ME seeks a Polysomnography Technologist II to perform comprehensive sleep studies, therapeutic interventions, and patient care with minimal supervision.

You will manage data acquisition, study scoring, equipment, and patient monitoring, while guiding entry-level staff and collaborating with sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and polysomnography technologists.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an EEG/Polysomnography program preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required; BRPT/ RPSGT credential preferred or required within start date.
• Experience: Minimum one year of Polysomnography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform comprehensive sleep studies and therapeutic interventions.
• Ensure accurate data acquisition, study scoring, and patient monitoring.
• Provide guidance and support to entry-level staff and coordinate with team.

Whatyou'lldo:

Work with a dynamic team of certified sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellowpolysomnographists to diagnose and treat sleep and waking disorders

Summary:

The Polysomnography Technologist IIroleis responsible forindependently performing comprehensive sleep studies, therapeutic interventions, and patient care activities. The Technologistis responsible foraccuratedata acquisition, study scoring, equipment management, and patient monitoring while also providing guidance and support to entry-level staff.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities:

1. Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Graduation from a Co-ARC accredited Electroencephalographic (EEG) diagnostics program, a CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnography program, or other healthcare-related educational program preferred.
2. License/Certifications:Current BLS Certificationrequiredor mustobtainwithin30 daysof start date. RPSGTcredential issuedby the Board of RegisteredPolysomnographicTechnologies(BRPT)required
3. Experience:Minimum of oneyear ofPolysomnography experiencerequired.

The pay range for this position is $29.45to $39.84 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
