Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnography procedures per physician orders, ensuring quality data and patient comfort. Hendersonville location with potential travel to nearby facilities. Candidates need 1+ year sleep tech experience; RPSGT preferred; HS diploma required; associate degree

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnography procedures according to physician orders and patient care plans.
• Adapts testing procedures and equipment to patient needs to obtain quality data.
• Uses hospital equipment and resources responsibly and notifies lead polysomnographer of concerns.
• Follows procedures for correct billing and documentation of services provided.
• Explains and modifies teaching strategies for patients with decreased vision, hearing, or mental status.
• Addresses considerations for care of patients with special medical conditions.

Shift:8a - 430p Monday - Friday

Location: Hendersonville, NC (may need to float to Asheville location as needed)

• Performs polysomnography procedures according to physician orders, department policy, and patient care plans.
• Adapts all needed testing procedures and equipment to patients and obtains quality data. Conducts thorough patient assessments and takes appropriate action as necessary.
• Uses hospital equipment, supplies, and resources responsibly and notifies the lead polysomnographer of any concerns.
• Follows procedures for correct billing and documentation of services provided. Strives to achieve reliability scores at a prescribed rate.
• Explains and modifies teaching strategies to accommodate patients with decreased vision, hearing, or mental status.
• Addresses considerations necessary for the care of patients with special medical conditions.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 1+ experience as a sleep tech [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:
