Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnography procedures per physician orders and patient care plans. You will adapt testing to each patient, ensure data quality, and work with hospital equipment. This full-time daytime role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation incentives.

The schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential float to Asheville as needed. A 2-3 paragraph format ensures concise detail for applicants.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sleep tech experience required.
• Associate degree preferred; High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnography procedures according to physician orders and patient care plans.
• Adapts testing procedures and equipment to patients and obtains quality data.
• Uses hospital equipment responsibly and notifies lead polysomnographer of concerns.
• Follows billing and documentation procedures for services provided.
• Explains and modifies teaching strategies for patients with decreased vision, hearing, or mental status.
• Addresses care considerations for patients with special medical conditions.

• Adapts all needed testing procedures and equipment to patients and obtains quality data. Conducts thorough patient assessments and takes appropriate action as necessary.
• Uses hospital equipment, supplies, and resources responsibly and notifies the lead polysomnographer of any concerns.
• Follows procedures for correct billing and documentation of services provided. Strives to achieve reliability scores at a prescribed rate.
• Explains and modifies teaching strategies to accommodate patients with decreased vision, hearing, or mental status.
• Addresses considerations necessary for the care of patients with special medical conditions.

Work Experience:

• 1+ experience as a sleep tech [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) [Required
