Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician to perform basic polysomnographic testing and related tasks under supervision in the Sleep Center of the BMH Golden Triangle Hospital Neurology Sleep Disorder unit. Duties include patient orientation, data entry, documentation, and ensuring safety and quality of testing.

Qualifications include 1 year of post-secondary education, 6 months to 1 year of direct patient contact, and enrollment in an associate-degree polysomnography program.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures and orients patients to the sleep center.
• Follows procedural protocols.

• Completes/verifies documentation to facilitate scoring/interpretation.
• Performs duties necessary to ensure high quality diagnostic/therapeutic testing in accordance with accepted published standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
