Job summary

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a polysomnographic technologist to monitor a patient's sleep for diagnostic analysis and perform therapeutic polysomnography under supervision. The role involves coordinating care with the Sleep Center Leadership and physicians, and educating patients and families about sleep disorders and treatments.

The position requires competency in sleep diagnostics, protocol adherence, data acquisition, and safe operation of sleep lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of polysomnography program or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong understanding of sleep disorders and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in Sleep Center diagnostics and patient hookups.
• Performs overnight polysomnograms and collects vital signs for interpretation.
• Reviews patient records and communicates with physicians regarding orders.
• Performs equipment checks and maintenance to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Scores sleep/wake stages per AASM standards and documents findings.
• Maintains infection control and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and patients.
