Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department:Sleep Lab
• Schedule:Full Time Nights, 3 shifts per week, No weekends or holidays. 7:00pm - 7:00am with some variability as the lab is continuing to grow
• Hospital:St. Vincent Anderson
• Location:Anderson, IN

What You Will Do

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

• Prepare patient and equipment for testing. Interview patient to identify sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve needs or equipment issues.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret patient information to meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report sleep study results.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain testing equipment.
• Identify and report needed repairs or replacements.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following within 24 months (2 years) of hire or transfer:
• BRPT credential as a Polysomnographic Technologist
• Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC specializing in Respiratory Care
• BRPT credential as a Polysomnographic Technologist (alternative wording)
• Sleep Technician credential from the American Board of Sleep Medicine

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR an Associate's or Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable experience.
