Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis under the supervision of the Technical Director. The role includes training a Polysomnographic Trainee, mask fitting, electrode placement, and detailed reporting for physician interpretation.

Requires a Polysomnography program completion or equivalent, one year of trainee experience, and CPAP equipment proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent; college program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with competency.
• Experience with Sleep equipment/CPAP equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis per protocol.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to AASM standards.
• Prepare reports for physician interpretation with documentation of observations.
• Handle patient preparation, electrode placement, and impedance checks.
• Ensure infection control and equipment sanitation; maintain inventory.
