Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Polysomnographic Technologist to join our sleep diagnostics team. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat sleep disorders, performing overnight polysomnography, PAP titration, and artifact troubleshooting in a collaborative lab.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Polysomnography or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical polysomnography experience.
  • Proficiency in PAP titration, split-night studies, electrode application, and respiratory monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of signal integrity and artifact troubleshooting, equipment calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Excellent patient education and comfort coaching skills.
  • Experience with clinical documentation and report generation.
  • Familiarity with infection prevention and aseptic techniques.
  • A solid understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
  • Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest industry advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and evaluating overnight polysomnograms, including PAP titration (CPAP/BiPAP) and split-night studies.
  • Applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
  • Conducting and monitoring respiratory monitoring procedures.
  • Ensuring signal integrity and troubleshooting artifacts during polysomnographic recordings.
  • Calibrating equipment for patient use and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Providing patient education about sleep disorders and coaching them for comfort during procedures.
  • Generating detailed clinical documentation and reports of polysomnographic results.
  • Adhering to infection prevention and aseptic techniques in the sleep lab.
  • Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
