Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is hiring a Sleep Tech/Polysomnographic Technician to conduct diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies in a patient‑focused setting. You will deliver high quality care per American Academy of Sleep Medicine standards and collaborate with physicians and sleep doctors.

The role requires completion of a polysomnographic technician program with RPSGT credential and BLS within 90 days. You will work in a dynamic environment with day and night shifts and opportunities to

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.
  • Reviews patient information and ensures proper tests are performed.
  • Observes and documents sleep stages, events, positions and significant findings (cardiac arrhythmias, apneas, hypopneas, movement disorders).
  • Verifies integrity of collected data.
  • Implements interventions (BiPAP, supplemental oxygen) and consults medical director as needed.
  • Educates patients on sleep study procedures and answers questions; identifies safety concerns and resolves issues.

Job description

Overview

Pay Range: The base pay range for this position is $30.64-$47.70 hourly. Job Title: Sleep Tech/Polysomnographic Technician. Work Schedule: Positions available on days and nights. Typically, 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week.

Role Summary

Conducts sleep studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic services. Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to standards and guidelines established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

A Day in the Life
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.
  • Reviews patient information and ensures proper tests are performed.
  • Observes and documents sleep stages, clinical events, position changes, and other significant events such as cardiac arrhythmias, apneas, hypopneas, and movement disorders.
  • Verifies integrity of collected data.
  • Implements appropriate intervention including bilevel positive airway pressure, supplemental oxygen, etc., including consulting with medical director regarding any concerns.
  • Educates patients in sleep study procedures and responds to questions.
  • Identifies safety concerns and resolves identified issues.
Qualifications

You Have: Successful completion of a polysomnographic technician program and credentialed as RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients. Ability to learn and utilize new technologies. Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
