A leading healthcare provider in Wake County is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform overnight testing and provide patient care. The role involves greeting patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring data integrity. The Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive overnight Polysomnographic testing and provides appropriate patient care throughout the testing process. Responsibilities include greeting and orienting patients to the Sleep Lab, explaining pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures, and addressing patient questions or concerns, referring to a provider as needed. The technologist reviews patient history, physical information, medications, procedure requests, and study protocols. They complete and verify documentation, ensure the integrity of collected data, and assist patients with paperwork, including calibrations. The technologist demonstrates knowledge and competency in Polysomnographic testing, proficiency with standard equipment, and effective communication with patients, staff, and physicians.
