Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist II for Morton Plant Hospital. The role supports the Sleep Disorders Center with night-shift coverage and ensures adherence to established AASM/AAST/BRPT standards.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of polysomnography, EEG, and respiratory therapy experience, plus required credentials. This is a PRN night position with occasional weekend work and supervision duties possible.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Polysomnography experience is required.
• 1 year of EEG experience is required.
• 1 year of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience is required.
• Preferred: 1 year of Polysomnography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sleep Disorders Center procedures according to AASM/AAST/BRPT standards.
• Provide supervision of Sleep Technologist I when applicable.

Position Details

• Location: Morton Plant Hospital

• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Occasional

The Polysomnographic Technologist II is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures in accordance with technical standards in the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). A Sleep Technologist II can provide supervision of a Sleep Technologist I.

Experience

• Polysomnography: 1 year required
• Electroencephalography (EEG): 1 year required
• Respiratory Therapist (RRT): 1 year required
• Preferred: 1 year Polysomnography

Education

• High school or equivalent
• Technical Diploma/Associates Degree - Polysomnographic; Or Technical - Electroencephalogram (EEG); Or Technical Respiratory Therapy

Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RPSGT (polysomnography) / RRT/CRT / Relevant Specialty
