Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina Sleep Center in Charleston seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing.

Under physician supervision, you will administer studies, score sleep records, collect specimens, and educate patients while maintaining high quality care; BLS certification and sleep tech credentials are preferred; 40-hour weekly schedule with nights in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with sleep patients.
• State licensure and/or professional certification requirements may be required depending on the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Under physician direction, administers various sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders.
• Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents test results.
• Collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis.
